If you are looking for a 3D printer that allows you to create larger prototypes you might be interested in a new 3D printer that has been launched by Airwolf 3D this month in the form of the new AW3D HD.
Airwolf 3D debuted their new AW3D HD 3D printer at the recent 3D Printshow in Paris, France and the new 3D printer joins the already available V.5.5 and XL printers.
Airwolf 3D have create their new AW3D HD 3D printer to offer users a new standard for volume, accuracy and speed offering a print volume of 1,150 cubic inches 12 x 8 x 12” or approximately 300mm x 200mm x300 mm in size.
Together with a layer-to-layer resolution as fine as .05mm (.002”), lightning-fast speeds and a partially enclosed, yet easily accessible proprietary frame design. Airwolf 3D explain :
“The HD’s proprietary heavy duty frame combined with the judicious use of acrylic, 3D-printed components, and cutting edge technology place Airwolf’s latest creation leaps and bounds ahead of other 3D printers. Adds Wolf, “We applied what we learned from the V.5.5 and XL and customer feedback to design an incredibly reliable 3D printer incorporating oversized motors, precision motion belts, and bullet-proof electronics.” With its new JR hot end the HD can print using a variety of raw materials, including ABS, PLA, PVA, Nylon, T-Glass, Laywood, Laybrick, Bendlay, Soft PLA, and HIPS.”
