This is because the Artya Artpiece 1/1 Liquid Dial is a one off. That’s right. No production line here, just a single timepiece for an unknown amount of money and horologist-designer extraordinaire Yvan Arpa moves on to the next project.
Okay, now let’s review the specs. The Artya Artpiece is understated high-class timekeeping for someone’s wrist. The strap is hand sewn, the case satin-finished, and the dial hand-decorated. If this didn’t indicate luxury, then the colored liquid inside the dial must. To think that despite it containing liquid, the watch is water resistant up to 50 meters.
So how much will it cost? No word on that yet. Expect an update on this once it’s showcased at Baselworld 2011, where amidst the expected oohs and ahs it’ll catch the eye of a watch inclined rich dude. Or be stolen by a diabolical supervillain.
