Not too long ago, we some leaked images of the alleged Xiaomi Mi5, with extremely thin bezels as well as the company’s “Mi” logo on top of the handset.
According to a new report, Xiaomi Mi5 could see the light of the day next month at the Consumers Electronics Show (CES) 2015 next month in Las Vegas.
According to mobile telecom analyst Sun Changxu, the handset may launch with a gigantic 5.7-inch display sporting a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels. The analyst also expects the Xiaomi Mi4 to come with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with Adreno 430 handling graphics on the handset, as well as a 20.7MP camera on board. It would be interesting to see if Snapdragon 810 can make it to the device due to delays in the Snapdragon 810 chipset, but the report still mentions it.
There’s also a possibility that Xiaomi may announce about its expansion plans for the US so we may get to see the handset make its debut in the States as well. The company is extremely popular for offering excellent set of specifications at an extremely affordable price tag. It received its fair share of success in the Asian markets, and it could get the same attention in the West if priced wisely. We’ll update you as soon as we get to hear anything about the handset.
