Not too long ago, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi Mi Note in China, carrying top-of-the-line specifications. The company has received its fair share of success in other developing markets especially India where they have sold a handful of units.
The company is yet to launch its high-end Xiaomi Mi 4 in India, and it seems the day might be near. It seems Xiaomi’s flagship device is expected to launch in India on January 28th.
The news comes from Economic Times Karan Bajaj who tweeted the Chinese company is planning to launch the handset in India on January 28th. Bajaj was present at the company’s event in China as well, and was apparently told about the launch of the handset.
Xiaomi Mi 4 rocks a 5-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, and features a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset with Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16/64GB of internal storage. The handset also boasts a 13MP camera for photos and videos, a 5MP front-facing camera, a 3,080 mAh battery and runs Android 4.4.3 KitKat with MIUI on top of it.
There’s no official confirmation, but we’ll update you as soon as the handset is officially announced in India.
