Western Digital has today revealed that it is now offering USB 3.0 connectivity across its full range of My Book Studio range of external hard drive devices.
As well as announcing the new USB 3.0 connectivity, Western Digital has also unveiled a new addition to their range in the form of the 4 TB My Book Studio external hard drive.
The 4 TB Drive is a single drive and offers users a massive capacity for media files and storage requirements. Jim Welsh, executive vice president and general manager of WD’s branded and CE products, explains:
“WD’s My Book Studio with USB 3.0 delivers extreme transfer speeds while maintaining the standard USB and FireWire connections computer users prefer,””Its large capacity, combined with a premium aluminum enclosure, hardware-based encryption, and compatibility with Apple Time Machine, provide Mac users with a fast, secure and complete system for preserving their valuable content.”
The My Book Studio range comes encased in aluminium and will be available in 1 TB for $159.99; 2 TB for $189.99; 3 TB for $239.99 and 4 TB for$299.99
