Those developers and consumers lucky enough to already own a virtual reality device, may have found that the revolutionary technology is sometimes a little harder to use if you are used to wearing glasses to aid your vision.
Now Peter Marx based in Germany is hoping to correct this with the help of VR Lens Lab who are creating a range of VR prescription lenses specifically designed for the latest virtual reality headsets.
The VR Lens Lab has taken Kickstarter to raise the €5000 it requires to start making its prescription lens adapters, lenses and fittings to help make your immersive virtual reality experiences even better. Watch the video below to learn more about this new project and how you can help it.
It’s a brave new world, but who wants to look into it through a blurry window? Comfort is important to being able to truly enjoy virtual reality experiences. Jay and the team of VR Cover have been working on making VR more comfortable since 2014, selling their VR Cover hygiene solution to thousands of VR enthusiasts, companies and developers.
Right now, if users don’t wear contact lenses with their VR headsets, they are expected to somehow squeeze their glasses inside the unit. This can become uncomfortable when your temples come under sustained pressure from headset straps or when the nose pads of your glasses are pressed heavily against your face. We have teamed up with Peter (Pit) Marx who brings his lifetime of optical industry experience with Gauss Eyewear to this project and together we have created VR Lens Lab to bring your prescription lenses into your VR headset.
