It would appear that Verizon are getting ready to launch a new version of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play on their network in the US, the Xperia Play LTE, as some internal documents relating to the device have been discovered by the guys from Android Central.
As a reminder, the Xperia Play features a FWVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, there is also a 1GHz Qualcomm QSD8225 processor, plus 512MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM.
There is also a 5.1 megapixel camera with autofocus, a built in flash, plus geo-tagging and image stabilization, plus also a microSD card slot, WiFi, plus Bluetooth, A-GPS, a microUSB port and a 3.5mm audio jack, and it comes with Android Gingerbread.
There are no details as yet on when we might see the Xperia Play LTE launch on Verizon, as soon as we get some more information we will let you guys know.
