A new smart building block system has been created by the development team at Tinkamo, specifically created to help teach children between the ages of 5 and 12 to start coding with wireless, artificially intelligent powered, programmable building blocks. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the project which is launched via Kickstarter this week to raise the $50,000 required to take the project into production.
Pledges are available from $29 or roughly £22 and delivery is expected to start during November 2018, if all goes well with manufacture and the Kickstarter campaign is successful. “Tinkamo wireless smart building blocks are so smart that they have eyes to see, ears to hear, legs to move and even brains to think. They can be built on each other and can connect with the app. They are as cute as candies and they work as easy as 1-2-3. 1) Build. Easy to build on each other, with LEGO or with cardboard. 2) Code. Connect wirelessly. Drag’n’drop to code. See instant results. 3) Go. Play in the real world. Solve real problems. Have real fun.”
The smart building blocks can be used to create a wide variety of different projects and comes complete with its own smartphone and tablet companion application which supports both iOS and Android devices. A number of modules and kits are available including a Motor Kit, Play Kit, Tinker Kit and more.
