We have seen quite a few remote controlled toys and gadgets here at Geeky Gadgets, but none as fast as this one, the World’s fastest remote controlled car.
The World’s fastest remote controlled car was created by Nic Case, and it has just broken the World record, managing to travel at a massive 161 MPH.
The car features an 11 horsepower remote controlled motor and a 12 cell battery pack which would normally be found in remote controlled airplanes. This powerful combination allows the car to achieve its record-breaking speed, making it a marvel of engineering and design.
Design and Engineering
The case for the car was handmade from carbon fiber, a material known for its strength and lightweight properties. This choice of material was crucial in ensuring that the car could withstand the immense forces at high speeds while remaining light enough to achieve those speeds. The design was meticulously crafted to be aerodynamic, reducing drag and allowing the car to slice through the air with minimal resistance.
Additionally, the car features an all-wheel drive system for increased traction. This system ensures that power is distributed evenly to all four wheels, providing better control and stability, especially at high speeds. The tires were also specially designed to handle the extreme conditions, offering maximum grip and durability.
Performance and Testing
Achieving a speed of 161 MPH is no small feat, and it required extensive testing and fine-tuning. Nic Case and his team spent countless hours in development, tweaking every aspect of the car to ensure optimal performance. The motor, battery pack, and drive system were all tested under various conditions to find the perfect balance of power and efficiency.
The car was tested on a specially prepared track to ensure safety and accuracy in measuring its speed. High-speed cameras and radar guns were used to capture the car’s performance, providing precise data that confirmed its record-breaking run.
I have to admit this is pretty impressive, if anyone finds a video of it in action let us know.
