Here’s one of the first gadgets to be released featuring the new tiny Atom processors, the Willcom D4.
The Willcom D4 is a joint venture with Sharp and it features a 5-inch touchscreen which is capable of a resolution of 1024 x 600 and a full QWERTY Keyboard.
It measures just 84 x 188 x 25.9mm and weighs just 470g and is powered by an Intel Centrino Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor, there is also a 40GB hard drive.
Advanced Connectivity and Features
The D4 also has WiFi, Bluetooth, a 2-megapixel camera, and runs Windows Vista Home Premium. The inclusion of WiFi and Bluetooth ensures that users can stay connected on the go, whether they are browsing the internet, transferring files, or using wireless peripherals. The 2-megapixel camera, while modest by today’s standards, was quite a useful feature for video calls and quick snapshots at the time of its release.
