The guys from iFixit have managed to get their hands on the new OnePlus 6 smartphone and have taken the handset apart to find out what was inside and how easy the device is to repair.
The new OnePlus 6 comes with some high end specifications, these include a 6.28 inch AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution.
There is also a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and a choice of 6GB or 8GB of RAM, plus a choice of 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of storage. The device also comes with dual 16 megapixel cameras and a 16 megapixel camera on the front for Selfies.
iFixit scores devices on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 is the most difficult to repair and 10 is the easiest to repair. the new OnePlus 6 managed to score 5 out of 10, this means that some parts are difficult to repair.
Things like the display is difficult and also the main access point has been glued heavily so it is more difficult to get into the device. It has score better than some of the flagships we have seen previously.
