In their never ending quest for a practical and eco-friendly means to get around the urbanscape, the people at online style hub Wallpaper commissioned a multinational team of artisans to produce a lightweight bicycle that can be stripped down for hand-carrying.
The result is the unpretentious minimalist ‘International’ that has a handcrafted frame made by a 71 year old Japanese master. The frames were then painted by Coat in the U.S.A. and come with a limited edition bag from renowned U.K. saddle-makers Brooks who put Nivaldo De Lima in charge of the carrying case.
As smart and compact as they are, the 54cm dark blue frame International variant will set you back £2,450 plus shipping while its larger 58cm sibling goes for a whopping £3,000. Oh, and don’t forget to add shipping there too.
A numbered special edition also retails for £2,500 but there are only ten in stock. So if you’ve got the cash and the enthusiasm, better get one now.
