The upcoming Ultimate Street Fighter IV will play host to five new characters, and the fifth has finally been revealed. Her name is Decapre and she isn’t really new to the franchise. She first appeared in Street Fighter Alpha 3 as an NPC but is now being made playable for the first time. She’s essentially an evil version of Cammy.
Capcom’s own personal description of the franchise’s newest playable character:
“Making her first brief appearance in a Street Fighter game as a non-playable character in Street Fighter Alpha 3, where she was seen as one of M. Bison’s Dolls, Decapre now joins the fight! Although a partial mask hides a giant burn mark located on this Russian beauty’s face, challengers will be scarred by her quick and elusive scramble moves as well as her psycho power infused attacks, which allow her to share her pain with her opponents.”
I’m not a huge fan of Street Fighter. I like the storylines but abhor the 2D fighting genre in preference for 3D fighters like Tekken and Soul Caliber, although I realize I’m in the minority which is why I decided to grace all you Street Fighter fans with this little tidbit.
Feel free to talk about your imbalanced 2D fighting preference in the comments below.
