If you’re waiting for Sony Xperia Z2 to hit your favorite carrier in the US, there’s a piece of bad news for you. Sony Xperia Z2 will not hit the retail shelves in the country, according to Engadget.
The folks were Engadget were notified by Sony’s about the arrival of Sony Xperia Z2. It’s not just the Xperia Z2, it was also reported that Xperia Z1 Compact will not land in the country either.

That’s not all, there’s a good news as well. Sony mentioned the Xperia Z2 will be available for sale from Sony’s online store later this summer. As far as the miniature Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is concerned, users have to find alternate sources or third-party retailers who are selling the handset. But keep in mind that their price will be a little higher compared to the official price.
As far as the specifications are concerned, Sony Xperia Z2 comes with a 5.2-inch display with 1080p resolution, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage with a microSD card slot, 20MP camera for photos and videos, a massive 3,200 mAh battery and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
