If you like big phones, you must have heard about the oversized Sony Xperia Z Ultra. The handset comes with top-of-the-line specifications, but you may have to shell out a hefty sum to get the handset, especially if you’re based in the US.
Sony is offering the unlocked version of the handset in the US through its online store. If you’re keeping an eye on the handset, you be glad to know Sony has slashed the price of the LTE version of the handset to $449.99, a big drop from the previous $679.99 price tag.
The handset is also available from the Google Play Store with stock Android, but if you’re willing to save your hard earned cash, you should get it from the official Sony Store.
As a quick refresher, the handset boasts a massive 6.4-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage with a microSD card slot for expandable storage.
Other features include 8MP camera for photos and videos, 2MP front-facing camera, a 3,050 mAh battery and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. Good news is that Android 4.4.2 KitKat is also available for the handset so you can enjoy the latest operating system.
