We previously heard some rumored specifications for the new Sony Xperia XZ2 smartphone. Now the handset has been confirmed by mobile carrier Three Ireland.
The news of the handset was confirmed by Three Ireland on Twitter, the tweet has since been deleted. You can see a screenshot of the deleted tweet below where the carrier confirms the handset is coming soon.
The handset is rumored to feature a 5.48 inch display that features a Full HD resolution of 2910 x 1080 pixels. Plus a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
Advanced Camera Capabilities
Other specifications on the handset will include high-end cameras. The front camera on the device will apparently come with 15 megapixels and is designed for selfies. This is a significant upgrade compared to many other smartphones in the market, which typically feature front cameras with lower megapixel counts.
