As rumored before, Sony has finally unveiled the budget-friendly device dubbed as the Sony Xperia E3, alongside the Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact.
The smartphone offers a decent set of specifications, with an expected launch this autumn across the globe. Pricing and exact availability details are unknown at the moment.
Calum MacDougall, Director of Product Marketing Programme, at Sony Mobile Communications said: “We’re pleased to introduce Xperia E3, a handset that matches form with function at an affordable price point. E3 combines fast performance with impressive features, all wrapped in our flagship Z series design that you can be proud to show off.”
Sony Xperia E3 rocks a 4.5-inch display sporting a resolution of 854 by 480 pixels and comes with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.2GHz and Adreno 305 GPU. There’s 4GB of storage on board with a microSD card slot which supports up to 32GB of storage.
The handset also features 1GB of RAM, a 5MP with HDR capabilities to capture dynamic photos and videos, a VGA secondary camera, a 2,330 mAh battery and runs Android 4.4 KitKat as its operating system out of the box.
Sony Xperia E3 will launch in four color options: white, black, lime, and copper, and will hit retail later this year globally.
