Samsung decided not to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor in its Galaxy S6 range of devices, instead the company used its own Exynos processors.
The reason that Samsung did not use the 810 was because of overheating issues that were reported about the processor and now the company is apparently testing out the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor for its next Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone.
According to a recent report, Samsung are putting the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor through a number of tests to decide whether to use the processor in next years Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone.
As yet the Snapdragon 820 has not been made official, the processor is not expected to launch until early 2016, so we are not expecting to see any new Snapdragon 820 powered devices until next year.
As yet there are no details on what specifications the new Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone will come with, the device will not launch until next year.
