It looks like we are getting closer to the release of the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 tablet. The device popped up in some benchmarks back in February of this year and now it has popped up again.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 has now received WiFi certification, the tablet is listed with the model number SM-T835 and it is also listed with Android 8.0 Oreo. The device received certification on the 2nd of May.
Specifications and Features
When the tablet appeared in the benchmarks earlier in the year, it was listed with a 10.5 inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. This high-resolution display is expected to offer vibrant colors and sharp details, making it ideal for media consumption, gaming, and productivity tasks. The tablet was also listed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and an Adreno 540 GPU. This combination of processor and GPU should provide robust performance, capable of handling demanding applications and multitasking with ease.
Other specifications from the benchmarks included 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This amount of RAM should be sufficient for most users, allowing for smooth operation of multiple apps simultaneously. The 64GB of internal storage can be expanded via a microSD card, providing ample space for apps, photos, videos, and other media.
The tablet also comes with front and rear cameras. The front camera on the device comes with a 7-megapixel sensor, which should be adequate for video calls and selfies. The rear camera features a 12-megapixel sensor, which is expected to deliver high-quality photos and videos. This makes the Galaxy Tab S4 a versatile device for both productivity and entertainment.
Additional Features and Anticipated Release
In addition to the core specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is expected to come with a range of additional features that enhance its usability. One such feature is the inclusion of Samsung DeX support, which allows the tablet to be used in a desktop-like environment when connected to an external monitor. This could make the Galaxy Tab S4 a viable option for users looking to replace their laptop with a more portable device.
Another anticipated feature is the inclusion of an S Pen, Samsung’s stylus that offers precise input for drawing, note-taking, and other tasks. The S Pen is a popular accessory for Samsung’s tablets and smartphones, and its inclusion with the Galaxy Tab S4 would be a welcome addition for many users.
As yet, there are no details on when the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 will be made official, although we suspect it will be some time soon. Given the recent WiFi certification and the appearance in benchmarks, it is likely that Samsung is in the final stages of preparation for the tablet’s release.
The Galaxy Tab S4 is expected to compete with other high-end tablets on the market, such as the Apple iPad Pro and the Microsoft Surface Pro. With its powerful specifications, high-resolution display, and additional features like Samsung DeX and the S Pen, the Galaxy Tab S4 could be a strong contender in the premium tablet market.
