It looks like we have some more details about the release date of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus smartphones. According to Evan Blass the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will launch on the 16th of March 2018.
We know that Samsung will announce the two handsets at Mobile World Congress next month, it looks like the handsets will be made official on the 26th of February 2018. Samsung will then apparently start taking pre-orders for the handsets on the 1st of March 2018 and then launch the handsets on the 16th.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are expected to get a number of upgrades over the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The design of the handsets is expected to be similar to the existing devices as is the display sizes.
The handsets will come with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 in some countries like the US, some other countries will feature the Samsung Exynos 9810 processor. The Galaxy S9 is expected to come with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and the Galaxy S9 Plus is expected to come with 6GB of RAM.
Storage options on the two handsets are said to range from 64GB upwards with a possible 512GB version of the handset. The Galaxy S9 is expected to come with a single 12 megapixel camera and the S9 Plus dual 12 megapixel cameras. The two handsets will come with Android Oreo, we will have more details about the devices next month.
