There’s no shortage of Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors. The rumor mill is generating all sorts of rumor, ranging from its display to its specifications. While we’ve heard several times in the past that it will come with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display sporting a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. However, if the latest rumor is to be believed, the purported Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to come with a PLS LCD display, along with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
This would help the Korean giant reduce the production costs by 20 percent. Currently, Samsung uses the PLS LCD display in Nexus 10 as well as the Galaxy Note 10.1, and Samsung is now considering this display technology for its smartphones as well.
Well, it’s just a rumor and Samsung didn’t make a final decision, whether it will use the PLS LCD displays or stick to the Super AMOLED display. What we know so far about Samsung Galaxy S4 , based on rumors, is that it will come with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display boasting 2K resolution, 4GB RAM, 64-Bit processor, 16MP ISOCELL camera with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed out of the box. The handset is rumored to make an official appearance by the end of February 2014.
What do you people think? Will Samsung switch to this display technology or stick to what it’s already doing? I guess we’ll find out everything when the Korean OEM will unveil the Samsung Galaxy S5.
