Samsung wasn’t as quick as Motorola when it comes to Android 5.0 Lollipop roll out, but at least the manufacturer is making sure its devices are updated.
The Korean company has already rolled out the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4 in some markets, and the latest one to join the list is India where the update is being seeded to the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500).
The update is rolling out over the air, and is sized at almost 1GB so make sure you’re connected to a WiFi network before you download the update.
Android 5.0 Lollipop is probably the biggest Android update to date, and comes with plethora of improvements and new features in tow. The latest update introduces Material Design, offering users with fluid animations and visuals, improved lock screen notifications and multitasking interface, better performance, improved security, ART runtime, and much more.
The update is rolling out as we speak and should take a little while to reach all devices as the update process is in phases. You should wait for it, or manually check for it from Settings. Do note that carrier-branded versions may take a little longer since they have to go through carrier testing as well.
