Yesterday the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 appeared on AnTuTu and now another version of the device has appeared on Geekbench.
This version of the Galaxy Note 7 comes with the model number SM-N935F and it is also listed with 4GB of RAM like the model on AnTuTu. Previous rumors had suggested that the device would come with 6GB of RAM. The discrepancy in RAM specifications has led to speculation that Samsung might release multiple variants of the Note 7, each tailored for different markets or user needs. For instance, a higher RAM version could be aimed at power users or regions where high-performance devices are in greater demand.
Software and Operating System
The handset is also listed with Android 6.1, this is not a version of Android that has been released as yet and previous benchmarks have shown the handset with Android 6.0.1. This has led to further speculation that Samsung might be testing a new, unreleased version of Android specifically for the Note 7. If true, this could mean that the Note 7 will come with exclusive features or optimizations that are not available on other devices running Android 6.0.1.
Expected Features and Launch
Samsung are expected to make their new Note 7 smartphone official at a press event on the 2nd of August and the device will go on sale some time in August. The anticipation surrounding the launch is palpable, with many tech enthusiasts eagerly awaiting to see what new features and improvements Samsung will introduce.
In addition to the RAM and software, other rumored features of the Galaxy Note 7 include a dual-edge display, similar to the one found on the Galaxy S7 Edge, and an improved S-Pen with enhanced functionality. There are also whispers of an iris scanner for added security, which would be a first for Samsung’s Note series.
Moreover, the Note 7 is expected to come with a larger battery compared to its predecessors, addressing one of the common complaints about battery life in high-performance smartphones. The camera system is also rumored to receive an upgrade, potentially featuring a dual-lens setup for better low-light performance and more advanced photography options.
The pricing of the Galaxy Note 7 is another topic of interest. While no official information has been released, industry analysts predict that it will be priced similarly to previous Note models, making it a premium device aimed at the high-end market.
