The new Samsung Galaxy A9 was made official earlier this week and now we get to have a look at the handset and some of its features in a new video.
As a reminder, the handset comes with a 6.3 inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels and it is powered by an octa-core processor.
Memory and Storage Options
The Galaxy A9 offers a choice between two memory configurations: one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, and another with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This flexibility allows users to choose a model that best fits their multitasking and storage needs. Additionally, the handset includes a microSD card slot, enabling users to expand the storage capacity up to 512GB. This is particularly useful for those who need extra space for apps, photos, videos, and other data.
Quad Camera Setup
One of the standout features of the Galaxy A9 is its quad-camera setup on the rear. This includes a 24-megapixel main camera with autofocus (AF) and an F1.7 aperture, which is designed to capture detailed and vibrant photos even in low-light conditions. The second camera is a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with AF and an F2.4 aperture, offering 2x optical zoom for capturing distant subjects without losing image quality.
The third camera is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view and an F2.4 aperture. This camera is perfect for capturing expansive landscapes or large group photos, ensuring that nothing is left out of the frame. The fourth camera is a 5-megapixel depth sensor with an F2.2 aperture, which helps to create a bokeh effect by blurring the background and making the subject stand out in portrait shots.
On the front, the Galaxy A9 is equipped with a 24-megapixel camera for selfies. This front-facing camera also features an F2.0 aperture, ensuring that your selfies are clear and well-lit, even in challenging lighting conditions.
Additional Features and Software
The Samsung Galaxy A9 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, with Samsung’s custom user interface layered on top. This provides a smooth and intuitive user experience, with access to a wide range of apps and features. The handset also includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security and convenience.
In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy A9 supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC, making it compatible with a wide range of wireless networks and devices. The phone also features a USB Type-C port for fast charging and data transfer, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack for those who prefer wired audio connections.
The Galaxy A9 is powered by a 3,800mAh battery, which should provide ample battery life for a full day of use. The phone also supports fast charging, allowing users to quickly recharge their device and get back to using it without long interruptions.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy A9 is a versatile and feature-rich smartphone that caters to a wide range of users. Whether you’re a photography enthusiast, a power user who needs plenty of RAM and storage, or someone who values a large and vibrant display, the Galaxy A9 has something to offer.
