Tomorrow will see the launch of the highly anticipated Kickstarter campaign for the new Remix mini PC that was first unveiled towards the end of last month.
The desktop mini PC will be available to pledge for with early bird prices starting from just $20 from July 15th from 9am Eastern.
The Remix OS that will be installed on the mii PC was based on Android 4.4, but the systems creators Jide is now beta testing Remix OS 1.5 that is based on Android 5.0 and includes a wealth of new features. Such as the ability to run more applications in phone mode, gesture support, and improvements to the email, browser, file manager, and other applications.
After the early bird pledges have been sold the price of the Remix systems will increase to $30. Each Remix desktop mini PC is equipped with a 1.5 GHz Alwinner 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 quad-core processor, supported by 1GB of RAM. Internally there is 8GB of storage that can be expanded further using the included microSD card slot. Connectivity is provided by 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Gigabit Ethernet.
Side will also be offering Remix systems fitted with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage for $40. Jump over to the Kickstarter website from 9am Eastern tomorrow to make a pledge and help the Remix mini PC become reality.
