Rdio has released an update to their Rdio for iOS app, and the new version of the app brings a number of new features to the music streaming app on iOS.
The latest version of Rdio for iOS is version 2.5.7, and you can now edit your playlists and update them from your mobile device. You can see a list of what is included in the update below.
What’s New in Version 2.5.7
– Playlist Editing. Now, you can update your playlists from any mobile device. Add, remove and rearrange tracks; add and edit playlist artwork; change visibility and collaboration settings and more.
– Reviews. Write album and playlist reviews right from the app, and read reviews by critics and other Rdio listeners.
– Various UI improvements and minor bug fixes.
Enhanced Playlist Editing
The ability to edit playlists directly from your mobile device is a significant enhancement for Rdio users. Previously, users had to rely on the desktop version to make any substantial changes to their playlists. With this update, you can now add, remove, and rearrange tracks on the go. This feature is particularly useful for users who like to update their playlists frequently based on their mood or new music discoveries. Additionally, you can now add and edit playlist artwork, which allows for a more personalized and visually appealing music library. The ability to change visibility and collaboration settings means you can easily share your playlists with friends or keep them private, depending on your preference.
New Review Features
Another exciting feature in this update is the ability to write and read reviews directly from the app. This addition makes Rdio more interactive and community-driven. Users can now share their thoughts on albums and playlists, providing valuable insights for other listeners. Reading reviews by critics and other Rdio users can help you discover new music and make more informed choices about what to listen to next. This feature enhances the overall user experience by fostering a sense of community and shared musical exploration.
The latest version of Rdio for iOS is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch running Apple iOS 6 and above. You can download the app from iTunes.
Rdio has also announced that these new features will be made available on their Android app, although they have not announced as yet when the update will be available. This cross-platform consistency ensures that all Rdio users, regardless of their device, can enjoy the same enhanced features and improved user experience.
