Technical Specifications and Features
The Razer Project Fiona is powered by an Intel Ivy Bridge Core i7 processor, which ensures high performance and smooth gameplay. This powerful processor is complemented by a range of advanced features designed to enhance the gaming experience. The tablet is equipped with a 3-axis gyro, magnetometer, accelerometer, and force feedback, providing precise motion control and immersive gameplay. Additionally, it boasts Dolby 7.1 surround sound, which delivers high-quality audio to match the stunning visuals.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0, ensuring that users can easily connect to the internet and other devices. The twin joystick controls on either side of the tablet are a standout feature, offering a console-like gaming experience on a portable device. These controls are designed to provide precise input and enhance the overall gaming experience.
Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan explains:
“We are looking to change the whole perception of tablets,” – “This first-of-its-kind PC gaming tablet with integrated dual controllers is definitely not for playing casual games about unhappy birds or zombie-killing flora,”
Market Expectations and Launch Details
Razer is hoping to launch Project Fiona late this year or early next, and it is expected to retail for less than $1000 or £650. This price point positions Project Fiona as a premium device, but one that is accessible to serious gamers who are looking for a high-performance portable gaming solution. The tablet’s unique combination of powerful hardware and innovative controls sets it apart from other tablets on the market, which are typically designed for more casual use.
The gaming community has shown significant interest in Project Fiona, with many eagerly anticipating its release. The tablet’s ability to run full PC games, combined with its portable form factor, makes it an attractive option for gamers who want to take their gaming on the go. The inclusion of features like force feedback and surround sound further enhances its appeal, providing an immersive gaming experience that rivals traditional gaming consoles.
The Razer Project Fiona represents a bold step forward in the evolution of gaming tablets. By combining powerful hardware, innovative controls, and a focus on high-performance gaming, Razer is poised to redefine what a gaming tablet can be. As the launch date approaches, gamers around the world will be watching closely to see if Project Fiona lives up to its promise and delivers a truly revolutionary gaming experience.
