There have been a number of car manufacturers that have announced that they will bring Apple CarPlay to their new vehicles, although these systems will be built in to the vehicles.
Mercedes is the only car maker to announce so far that they will offer an aftermarket system to bring CarPlay to older vehicles.
And now Pioneer, who are a popular producer of aftermarket car stereos and systems plans to bring Apple CarPlay to their devices.
The news comes from MacRumors who were given the information from one of their readers, as yet there are no details on when Pioneer will launch their first CarPlay compatible stereo.
We suspect that other in car audio and in car systems manufacturers will also be looking to offer aftermarket CarPlay compatible solutions as well.
