A Swedish company called People Of Lava has developed a HDTV which is powered by Google’s Android OS, and will be called the Scandinavia. The Scandinavia HDTV will come in a variety of different sizes which include 42 inches, 47 inches and 55 inches, with the 42 inch model retailing for about $2,500.
Each of these new Google Android TVs will come with Android 1.5, and are powered by am 833MHz ARM Cortex A8 processor.
Other specifications include a couple of USB 2.0 ports, A DVB-T digital TV tuner, HDMI and the ability to playback video in Full HD and 1080p.
The Scandinvia HDTVs will feature a custom user interface that will let you play videos direct from YouTube, and the ability to download various Android applications from the Android Market.
The company will also be launching its own application that will allow users to download free and premium applications direct to their HDTV.
