Things are getting exciting in Las Vegas at the Consumers Electronics Show 2014. HP and Lenovo unveiled a plethora of Windows-based tablets, AIOs and laptops, as well as a few Android devices.
We have a pretty good idea that wearable technology is on the rise, and not too long ago, the folks at Pebble announced “something exciting is coming at CES on January 6th.” Now that its has passed, it was indeed exciting, and in case you don’t know, Pebble released Pebble Steel smartwatch. It brings the same Pebble we’ve known before, but in a more refined and premium look.
As the name suggests, it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass and is made of steel, giving it a more premium look compared to the earlier Pebble, which without a doubt looked more like a toy. But, I’m excited about the company’s latest offering that is compatible with all Pebble Apps, and is waterproof up to 5 ATM.
The Pebble Steel is shipping in two models: Brushed Stainless and Matte Black, bundled with a matching metal band and a black leather strap.
The new premium Pebble Steel comes with a $249 price tag and will begin shipping from January 28th. Interestingly, the folks at Pebble are offering free shipping worldwide for early orders, so if you’re interested, head over to getpebble.com and order one for yourself.
