This week Oculus VR has announced they have signed up cinematic 360-degree specialists Felix & Paul, to create new and original movie content that can be viewed using the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset.
The Montréal-based VR creation studio that comprises of Felix Lajeunesse and Paul Raphaël are responsible for creating a proprietary platform that is capable of recording 3D 360-degree movie footage. This innovative technology allows for an immersive viewing experience, making the audience feel as though they are part of the scene. The studio has gained recognition for its high-quality VR content, which includes collaborations with major brands and entertainment companies.
Felix & Paul Studios’ Contributions
The team has already been responsible for creating some of the new content for the Gear VR hardware that was created in partnership between Samsung and Oculus VR. Their work includes a variety of genres, from documentaries to fictional narratives, all designed to leverage the unique capabilities of VR. For instance, their project “The People’s House,” a VR tour of the White House narrated by President Barack Obama, received critical acclaim for its innovative approach to storytelling.

A five-year-old Israeli company that has been developing high-definition hand-tracking technology.
