One of the best features you can get on maps and GPS navigation devices in my opinion is live traffic. Knowing where the traffic and the delays are can make your commute or road trip much more enjoyable. Nokia has announced that in its partnership with Microsoft it has added live traffic to Bing Maps.
The live traffic covers not only main streets, but also covers side streets. Knowing traffic on side streets is important if you’re trying to avoid an accident because the side streets could be crowded as well. The maps will also show incident notifications allow you to avoid other delays.
Nokia’s geocoding information has been added to the maps. This is the information that allows the maps to be able to resolve latitude and longitude information to a specific address and vice versa. Using Nokia’s geocoding information allows the maps to find an address more quickly.
