HMD Global has announced that their Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 smartphones are now available in the UK.
The handsets are available from a range of retailers and the Nokia 7.2 costs £249.99, while the Nokia 6.2 is available for £199.99.
Nokia 7.2: A Leap in Smartphone Photography
The first Nokia smartphone to combine a triple camera and PureDisplay, Nokia 7.2 features a powerful 48MP triple camera with Quad Pixel technology and ZEISS Optics. Nokia 7.2 also premiers a range of ZEISS bokeh styles, exclusive to Nokia smartphones, that recreate the way legendary ZEISS lenses produce high visual impact and signature blur.
The Nokia 7.2 is designed for photography enthusiasts who want to capture professional-quality images on the go. The 48MP main sensor ensures that every shot is detailed and vibrant, while the Quad Pixel technology enhances low-light performance by combining four pixels into one super pixel. This results in clearer, brighter photos even in challenging lighting conditions.
Additionally, the ZEISS Optics and exclusive bokeh styles allow users to experiment with different artistic effects, making portraits and close-up shots stand out with a professional touch. The Nokia 7.2 also includes an ultra-wide-angle lens, perfect for capturing expansive landscapes or large group photos without missing any details.
Nokia 6.2: Affordable Excellence
Both devices stay true to their Nordic heritage, joining timeless craftsmanship and cutting-edge materials to deliver a unique and seamless finish. Both also bring always-on HDR to new smartphone segments, featuring PureDisplay technology powered by a dedicated visual processor that delivers up to one billion shades of colour. With a combination of AI-features and a powerful triple sensor camera, these devices enable fans to take detailed photos, bokeh portraits and stunning wide-angle shots that capture more.
The Nokia 6.2, while more affordable, does not compromise on quality. It features a 16MP triple camera setup that includes a wide-angle lens and a depth sensor, allowing users to take versatile and high-quality photos. The AI-powered camera features help in optimizing settings automatically, ensuring that every shot is perfect without the need for manual adjustments.
The PureDisplay technology in both the Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 ensures that users enjoy an immersive viewing experience. The dedicated visual processor can display up to one billion shades of color, making videos and images look more vibrant and lifelike. This technology also supports always-on HDR, which enhances the contrast and color accuracy of the display, providing a superior visual experience even in direct sunlight.
Design and Build Quality
Both the Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 reflect Nokia’s commitment to quality and design. Inspired by their Nordic heritage, these smartphones feature a seamless finish and are crafted from high-quality materials. The devices are not only aesthetically pleasing but also durable, ensuring they can withstand daily wear and tear.
The Nokia 7.2 comes with a premium glass back and a polymer composite frame that is twice as strong as polycarbonate and half the weight of aluminum. This makes the phone both lightweight and robust. The Nokia 6.2, on the other hand, features a similar design ethos with a focus on durability and comfort.
Software and Performance
Both smartphones run on Android One, which guarantees a pure Android experience with no bloatware and regular security updates. This ensures that the devices remain secure and up-to-date with the latest features and improvements from Google.
The Nokia 7.2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, providing smooth performance for everyday tasks and gaming. The Nokia 6.2, equipped with the Snapdragon 636, offers reliable performance for its price range, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious consumers.
