Last week, HMD Global confirmed that Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 will go on sale in the country, starting with the Nokia 3 soon.
If you’re interested, Nokia 3 is now available for sale in the country carrying a INR 9,499 ($147) price tag. The other two devices are not yet available for sale at the moment.
Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 Pre-Order Dates
Pre-orders of the Nokia 5 are expected to commence on July 7 while its bigger sibling, the Nokia 6, will be up for pre-orders from July 14th onwards. This staggered release strategy allows HMD Global to manage the demand and supply efficiently, ensuring that each device gets the attention it deserves.
Nokia 3 Specifications and Features
Nokia 3 comes with entry-level specifications on board, featuring a 5-inch display sporting a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels resolution. It is powered by a Mediatek MT6737 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage on board. This combination ensures that the device can handle basic tasks and applications smoothly, making it an ideal choice for first-time smartphone users or those looking for a reliable secondary device.
Other features include an 8MP rear and front-facing camera, which is quite decent for an entry-level smartphone. The camera setup allows users to capture clear photos and selfies, making it a good option for social media enthusiasts. The device is equipped with a 2,650 mAh battery, which should provide enough power to last through a typical day of usage. Additionally, the Nokia 3 supports LTE connectivity, ensuring fast internet speeds for browsing and streaming.
The Nokia 3 ships with Android 7.0 Nougat as its operating system out of the box. This version of Android offers a smooth and user-friendly experience, with features such as split-screen multitasking, improved notifications, and enhanced data saver options. HMD Global has also promised regular software updates, ensuring that the device remains secure and up-to-date with the latest features.
Market Position and Competitors
In the competitive Indian smartphone market, the Nokia 3 faces stiff competition from other budget-friendly devices such as the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and the Moto E4. However, Nokia’s strong brand reputation and commitment to quality may give it an edge over its competitors. The Nokia 3’s build quality, design, and software experience are some of the key factors that could attract potential buyers.
We’ll update you as soon as the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 are up for sale in the country. The Nokia 5 is expected to feature a slightly larger display and better specifications compared to the Nokia 3, making it a suitable option for users looking for a mid-range device. On the other hand, the Nokia 6 is anticipated to be the flagship model in this lineup, offering premium features and performance at a competitive price point.
