A leaked presentation slide received by the FanlessTech website and published over the weekend has revealed that Intel is planning to release five new Intel NUC mini PC systems powered by 28W Coffee Lake processors in the near future. The systems take the form of the Intel NUC NUC8i3BEK with Core i3-8109U (short), NUC8i3BEH with Core i3-8109U (tall), NUC8i5BEK with Core i5-8259U (short), NUC8i5BEH with Core i5-8259U (tall) and NUC8i7BEH with Core i7-8559U (tall)
All Intel NUC mini PCs equipped with a taller form factor measuring 2 inches in height, will have a 2.5 inch drive bay capable of accommodating a 9.5mm SATA3 hard drive or solid state drive, while the short models have just a SATA3 port for a physically smaller SSD. All models measure 4.6 x 4.4 inches in size with the shorter form factor measuring just 1.4 inches in height. Intel has yet to officially confirm the new devices but more lead details about the processors reveal a choice of Core i3-8109U – 2 cores/4 threads, 3 GHz base frequency/3.6 GHz turbo, 4MB cache, 300 MHz – 1.05 GHz GPU, Core i5-8259U – 4 cores/8 threads, 2.3 GHz base frequency/3.8 GHz turbo, 6MB cache, 300 MHz – 1.05 GHz GPU and Core i7-8559U – 4 cores/8 threads, 2.7 GHz base frequency/4.5 GHz turbo, 8MB cache, 300 MHz -1.2 GHz GPU.
As soon as more information is officially announced or leaked for the new Intel NUC mini PC systems we will keep you up-to-date as always.
