Sony will be unveiling a number of new smartphones at Mobile World Congress this month and now we have details on a new Sony Xperia flagship.
A new Sony Xperia smartphone with the model Number H8266 recently appeared on the AnTuTu benchmarks and this has revealed some of the specifications on this new device.
Powerful Performance and Display
The new Sony Xperia flagship will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which is known for its high performance and efficiency. This processor is designed to handle the most demanding tasks with ease, making it ideal for gaming, multitasking, and more. Alongside the Snapdragon 845, the device will feature an Adreno 630 GPU, ensuring smooth graphics performance for all your visual needs.
The handset will come with a Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2160 x 100 pixels. This high-resolution display promises to deliver sharp and vibrant visuals, making it perfect for watching videos, browsing the web, and viewing photos. The Full HD+ resolution also indicates that the device will have an 18:9 aspect ratio, which is becoming increasingly popular for its ability to provide a more immersive viewing experience.

Memory and Storage
Other specifications on this new Sony handset include 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The 4GB of RAM will ensure that the device can handle multiple applications running simultaneously without any lag. This amount of RAM is sufficient for most users, providing a smooth and responsive experience whether you’re browsing the web, using social media, or playing games.
The 64GB of internal storage offers ample space for your apps, photos, videos, and other files. However, for those who need more storage, we presume that it will also come with a microSD card slot for extra storage. This expandable storage option is a great feature for users who like to keep a large amount of media on their device or who need additional space for apps and games.
Software and Additional Features
As we can see from the benchmark, this new Xperia smartphone is running Android 8.0 Oreo. Android 8.0 Oreo brings a host of new features and improvements, including picture-in-picture mode, notification dots, and improved battery life through background app optimizations. This version of Android also includes enhanced security features, ensuring that your device and data are protected.
While those are the only details we have about the device at the moment, we can expect that Sony will include some of its own software enhancements and features. Sony’s Xperia line is known for its high-quality cameras, so it’s likely that this new flagship will come with advanced camera capabilities. Additionally, Sony often includes features like water and dust resistance, high-resolution audio support, and more.
We will have more information on this new Xperia device at MWC 2018 later this month. Mobile World Congress is one of the biggest events in the mobile industry, and it’s the perfect stage for Sony to showcase its latest innovations. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the event.
