Samsung is apparently working on the successors for their Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A7 smartphones, and some new model numbers for these handsets have been revealed.
According to a recent report, the Samsung Galaxy A3 will come with the SM-310F model number, the Galaxy A5 will come with the SM-510F, and the Galaxy A7 with the SM-A710F model number in Russia.
The handsets will also apparently be released in China with the SM-A5100 and SM-A7100 model numbers. Unfortunately, we do not have any specifications on the devices at this time.
Expected Upgrades and Enhancements
What we do know is that the handsets will come with minor changes, which would suggest that the design of the three smartphones will be similar to the originals, and the hardware will be upgraded. This would mean that we could see faster processors than the current models and possibly more RAM than the existing devices.
For instance, the current Galaxy A7 model features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and 2GB of RAM. An upgrade could potentially see the inclusion of a Snapdragon 625 or even a Snapdragon 650, along with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. This would significantly enhance the performance and multitasking capabilities of the device.
Design and Display
In terms of design, Samsung has always been known for its sleek and stylish smartphones. The original Galaxy A series featured a metal frame and a premium finish, which was well-received by users. It is expected that the new models will retain this premium design language, possibly with some refinements to make the devices even more appealing.
The display is another area where we might see improvements. The current Galaxy A7 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. The new model could potentially feature a higher resolution display or even an increase in screen size, while still maintaining the Super AMOLED technology that Samsung is known for. This would result in better color reproduction and overall display quality.
Camera and Battery Life
Camera performance is another critical aspect of modern smartphones. The existing Galaxy A7 features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The new model could see an upgrade to a 16-megapixel or even a 20-megapixel rear camera, along with an 8-megapixel front camera. This would allow for better photo quality and improved low-light performance.
Battery life is always a concern for smartphone users. The current Galaxy A7 comes with a 2600mAh battery. An upgrade could see a larger battery capacity, possibly around 3000mAh or more, which would provide longer usage times and reduce the need for frequent charging.
Software and Additional Features
On the software front, the new Galaxy A series is expected to come with the latest version of Android, possibly Android 6.0 Marshmallow or even Android 7.0 Nougat, depending on the release timeline. This would bring new features and improvements to the user experience, such as better app permissions, improved battery management, and enhanced performance.
Additional features that could be included in the new models are fingerprint sensors, which have become a standard in modern smartphones, and possibly even water and dust resistance, which would make the devices more durable and versatile.
As soon as we get some more details on what specifications these new Samsung Galaxy A smartphones will come with, we will let you guys know.
