Motorola announced their new Moto G smartphone last week and now the company has released another promo video for the device.
The new Moto G comes with a 5 inch HD display that has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and the handset is powered by a quad core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor.
Specifications and Features
Other specifications on the device include a choice of two models, one with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage, the other with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Both devices have a microSD card slot for expansion, allowing users to add up to 128GB of additional storage. This flexibility makes the Moto G a versatile option for users who need more space for apps, photos, and videos.
The Moto G comes with a 5 megapixel camera on the front for selfies and a 13 megapixel camera on the back which has a dual LED flash. The rear camera is capable of recording 1080p video at 30 frames per second, making it a solid choice for capturing high-quality videos. The front camera also supports 720p video recording, which is great for video calls and vlogging.
The handset is equipped with a 2470 mAh battery, which Motorola claims can last up to 24 hours with mixed usage. This is a significant improvement over previous models and ensures that users can go through their day without constantly worrying about recharging. The device also features WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and 4G LTE connectivity, ensuring fast and reliable internet access wherever you are.
Software and User Experience
The Moto G runs on a near-stock version of Android, which means it offers a clean and smooth user experience without the bloatware that often comes with other manufacturers’ custom skins. This also ensures that the device receives timely updates, keeping it secure and up-to-date with the latest features.
One of the standout features of the Moto G is its water-repellent coating, which provides protection against accidental spills and splashes. While it’s not fully waterproof, this feature adds an extra layer of durability, making it a practical choice for everyday use.
Motorola has also included some of its signature software enhancements, such as Moto Display and Moto Actions. Moto Display allows users to see notifications at a glance without waking the phone, while Moto Actions enable gesture-based controls, such as twisting the wrist to quickly launch the camera or chopping twice to turn on the flashlight.
The device supports dual SIM functionality, which is particularly useful for users who travel frequently or need to manage two phone numbers. This feature allows for seamless switching between two different networks, providing greater flexibility and convenience.
In terms of design, the Moto G features a sleek and ergonomic build with a curved back that fits comfortably in the hand. The device is available in a variety of colors and can be further customized with Motorola’s range of interchangeable back covers, allowing users to personalize their phone to match their style.
Overall, the new Moto G offers a compelling combination of performance, features, and affordability. It’s an excellent choice for budget-conscious consumers who don’t want to compromise on quality or functionality.
