If you’re a baseball fan you be glad to hear that four new major league teams are now supporting digital tickets via Apple Passbook. The announcement comes from MLB Advanced Media, the interactive media and Internet company of Major League Baseball. The four new teams include the San Francisco Giants, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, and Kansas City Royals.
All four teams will be accepting digital tickets via Passbook for the remainder of the regular season home dates in 2012. Using passbook the fans will be able to receive and store digital tickets after purchasing via MLB.com or official team websites. Tickets purchased using MLB.com At Bat or At The Ballpark mobile apps will also go to Passbook.
Tickets received via the Passbook platform will include information such as name date, opponent, time, section, row, and seat. I wonder if you can keep the digital tickets as mementos of the game.
