We have been hearing rumors about two new Google Nexus phones for some time, the handsets are code named Sailfish and Marlin and now it would appear that they may launch under a different brand than the Nexus brand.
According to a recent report by Android Police, Google will be ditching the Nexus brand for their smartphones and instead will be naming the handsets under the Pixel brand.
The 5 inch Sailfish handset will apparently launch as the Pixel and the 5.5 inch Marlin handset will apparently launch as the Pixel XL.
Google uses its Pixel brand for its high end chrome books and tablets so this would be the first time that the company has decided to use the brand for its new smartphones.
We are expecting these two new smartphones to launch soon, the handsets will come with Android 7.0 Nougat, as soon as we get some more details on the launch date, we will let you guys know.
