Google has today launched a new experimental Chrome extension that allows you to block any undesirable website from your search results. Allowing you to block poor quality websites or ‘content farms’ that create huge amounts of spam on the Internet.
Once you have added a website the extension then automatically notifies Google and allows it to gather spam information regarding undesirable domains to help improve its results.
Google explains in its blog site announcement that it has recently been exploring different algorithms to detect content farms, or sites with shallow or low-quality content.
Once installed a new ‘Block’ appears under your search results making it easy to block and report undesirable results. But don’t worry you can also unblock results as well, just in case you might change your mind.
The new Chrome extension is called Personal Blocklist and can be installed from here.
