We previously heard that Asus is working on a new version of their ZenWatch with a strong focus on battery life and now according to a recent report the company is also working on another new Asus Smartwatch.
Asus are apparently working on a new smartwatch that will ditch Google’s Android Wear OS, the device is rumored to come with a new MediaTek SoC that is currently being developed.
It is possible that the new Asus ZenWatch with its improved battery life will be available with Android Wear, and that this other new smartwatch will come with a different OS, which has yet to be revealed.
There are rumors that the company will actually launch two versions of the next generation Asus ZenWatch, one with Android Wear, the other with a new smartwatch OS.
As soon as we get some more information on exactly what Asus has planned for their new smart watches, we will let you guys know.
