Some of our readers will remember the Neo Geo X handheld portable gaming console that was announced earlier in the year. It is scheduled to launch in the US in December, and now it will also land in Europe on the 6th of December.
The Neo Geo X will retail for $199 Euros or £175 and it comes with a 4.3 inch display, AES style charging dock with built-in HDMI, a game card, and a joystick.
Features and Specifications
The Neo Geo X is designed to bring back the nostalgia of the original Neo Geo console, which was a favorite among gamers in the 1990s. The 4.3-inch display offers a clear and vibrant screen, making it perfect for playing classic arcade games. The AES style charging dock not only charges the device but also allows you to connect it to your TV via HDMI, providing a seamless transition from handheld to home console gaming.
The included joystick is modeled after the original Neo Geo controller, offering a tactile and responsive gaming experience. The game card that comes with the console includes several pre-loaded classic games, ensuring that you can start playing right out of the box.
Game Library and Compatibility
One of the standout features of the Neo Geo X is its extensive game library. The console comes pre-loaded with 20 classic Neo Geo games, including fan favorites like “Metal Slug,” “King of Fighters,” and “Fatal Fury.” These games have been carefully selected to provide a comprehensive overview of the Neo Geo’s rich gaming history.
In addition to the pre-loaded games, the Neo Geo X is also compatible with additional game cards that can be purchased separately. This allows gamers to expand their library and enjoy even more classic titles. The console’s compatibility with these game cards ensures that it remains a versatile and valuable addition to any gaming collection.
You can find out more information about the Neo Geo X over at their website, and it will be available with UK retailers from the 6th of December.
