Motorola has done a commendable job when it comes to Android updates, even for its budget-friendly devices. Motorola even announced at the Moto E launch event that it will get the next major Android update.
For those of you rocking the Moto X, there’s a piece of good news for you. Motorola’s Punit Soni confirmed on Google+ that Moto X will get the latest Android L update when it’s officially announced by Google. The answer came on a status update on Google Plus when one anxious Moto X owner asked if about the update.
Honestly, this shouldn’t come as a surprising news since Motorola was one of the first companies to roll out the chocolaty Android 4.4.2 KitKat for the Moto X as well as the pocket-friendly Moto G. They even rolled out the Android 4.4.4 KitKat for most of its existing handsets, so most users can rest easy.
There’s no word about the launch of the Android L update from Google, rumors suggest it will launch by year’s end so we can expect the update to land in early 2015 for most flagship devices.
We’ll update you as soon as we get any other information about the Android L update launch.
