Some of our readers might remember the MOTA SmartRing we featured here on Geeky Gadgets back at the beginning of this month. This week the Indiegogo crowd funding campaign has passed its goal of $100,000 and will now be able to make the jump from the concept into production.
The concept for the MOTA SmartRing is to be able to provide its wearer with just the notifications that are needed and reduce the time it takes to read through your emails and messages. Watch the video after the jump to learn more about the MOTA project and see it in action.
The MOTA is now available to back over on the Indiegogo website with pledges starting from $145.
“The SmartRing displays notifications in text form, with users able scroll through words at the speed they wish. The SmartRing provides maximum discretion over notifications, letting the wearer enable and disable audible and tactile alerts.
The VIP feature let’s you control who gets your attention and who doesn’t. Start living again without the unwanted distractions. With the option of choosing midnight black or pearl white, the MOTA SmartRing always keeps you updated in style.
Customize your ring to notify you only of a select few if you’re crunching low on time. Expand your circle of contacts for when you don’t mind being in touch with the world. The MOTA SmartRing gives you back the most precious thing of all: time.”
