Misfit has announced the launch today of their new Speedo Shine 2 which is now available to purchase, priced at $120 and provides users with enhanced swim tracking features.
The latest Misfit Shine 2 device builds on the technology included in the first Speedo Shine which was released roughly 12 months ago and is now equipped with proprietary lap-counting algorithms suited to aquatic use, says Misfit.
As with previous Misfit wearable fitness devices the Misfit Shine 2 Swimmer’s Edition comes complete with its own companion application allowing you to view data and training schedules. Misfit explains a little more about what you can expect from the latest addition to the range specifically designed for swimmers around the world.
Misfit Shine 2 Swimmer’s Edition covers swim, sleep, and everything in between. Made of durable aircraft-grade aluminum, it tracks a swimmer’s lap count and swim distance with industry-leading accuracy, provides a timer countdown, and works for all stroke types. Misfit Shine 2 Swimmer’s Edition also tracks steps, distance, calories, and light and restful sleep, and delivers call and text alerts, vibration notifications, and IoT compatibility that lets you control your connected devices.
