Microsoft has this week been able to secure two domains that are named after its new next generation Xbox One games console and trademark. The two domain names in question are XboxOne.com and XboxOne.net both of which were registered by a UK resident.
After the unveiling of their new next generation Xbox One games console Microsoft wasted no time filing a complaint earlier this year, saying that the previous registrant had no right to the Xbox One trademark and that the domains were registered in bad faith.
However Sony has still yet to proceed or file an documents to obtain the PlayStation4.com domain as we are aware. Currently the PlayStation4.com domain redirects to a PlayStation 4 news site PSX Extreme. Lets hope they don’t suffer the same fate as Nintendo when they tried to secure their consoles trademark after launch.Filed Under: Technology News, Xbox
