If you are looking forward to the launch of the new Mass Effect 3 game you will be pleased to know that just like  Mass Effect 2 there will also be a Day One DLC called “From Ashes” which was inadvertently exposed on to Xbox Live for a brief time revealing the new DLC’s name, which will cost 800 MS points, or $9.99 once officially launched.

Mass Effect 3

The Mass Effect 3 DLC From Ashes invites players to “unearth lost secrets of the past” and, just like the Day One DLC from Mass Effect 2, enables players to signup a new squad member. Bioware’s Michael Gamble commented on the DLC, information which was recently leaked.

“We’re happy to confirm that Mass Effect 3: From Ashes DLC will be available at launch for all platforms. For those of you who have purchased the N7 Collector’s Edition (including the PC Digital Deluxe Edition), you will get this content at no extra charge. We’ll have a lot more details for you later this week,”

“DLC has fast [certification] and no [manufacturing], so if a team works very hard, they can get a DLC done in time to enjoy it with your 1st playthrough on day one. On ME3, content creators completed the game in January and moved onto the ‘From Ashes’ DLC, free with the [Collector’s Edition] or you can buy separately,”

Mass Effect 3 will continues on from the storyline of the Mass Effect 2 DLC expansion “Arrival”. Following Shepard’s mission to save the galaxy from the Reapers by rallying civilisations of the galaxy together, while also having to deal with Cerberus, who have decided to turn against Shepard.
