Bentley has announced the launch of a new limited edition Bentley Continental GT to celebrate their Pikes Peak record.
There will be just 15 examples of this limited Continental GT made and they will come with a carbon fibre body kit and an exclusive paint job.
Exclusive Design and Features
The new Limited Edition is distinguished by a carbon fibre body kit and eye-catching Radium by Mulliner paintwork, mirroring the colour scheme used on the record-breaking car. Gloss black detailing has also been added to the front lower bumper inserts, roof panel, wing mirrors and rear surfaces.
Acid Green brake disc callipers, Pirelli P Zero Colour Edition tyres in Radium Finish and a Pikes Peak decal to the front bumper hint at the Limited Edition’s record-breaking lineage, while 22-inch Mulliner Driving Specification wheels in Gloss Black are standard. An optional ‘100’ grille is a reminder that the Continental GT’s impressive hill climb achievement took place in Bentley’s centenary year.
Performance and Heritage
The limited edition Bentley Continental GT is not just about aesthetics; it also boasts impressive performance features. The car is powered by a 6.0-liter W12 engine that delivers 626 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. This allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 207 mph. These performance metrics are a testament to Bentley’s engineering prowess and commitment to excellence.
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, also known as “The Race to the Clouds,” is one of the most challenging motorsport events in the world. The course spans 12.42 miles and includes 156 turns, climbing from an altitude of 9,390 feet to 14,115 feet. Bentley’s record-breaking run in the Continental GT showcased the car’s exceptional handling, power, and durability under extreme conditions.
The limited edition model pays homage to this achievement with several unique touches. Inside, the cabin features Alcantara trim with contrasting Radium stitching, and the steering wheel is adorned with a Pikes Peak emblem. The dashboard includes a graphic of the Pikes Peak course, further emphasizing the car’s connection to this iconic event.
