Smartphone maker Jolla has been teasing a new device, it is now official and it is a tablet with Sailfish OS 2.0, the Jolla Tablet, and the company has turned to crowd funding to launch the project.
It appears that the Jolla Tablet project is more than just crowd funding, you will actually be able to choose the features of the device, and the best ideas will make it to the final device.
The Jolla Tablet will come with the company’s Sailfish OS 2.0, the device will feature a 7.85 inch display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels.
Processing will come in the form of 64-bit quad core Intel processor, and there will also be 32GB of included storage and 2GB of RAM, plus a microSD card slot, the tablet will also come with a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a 2 megapixel camera up front and a 4300 mAh battery.
Jolla just launched their Jolla Tablet campaign on Indiegogo, the company has a goal of $380,000 to but it into production, and considering it just launched, we suspect this one will be successful as they have already raised over $200,000 at the time of writing.
The tablet will retail for $189 for the first 1000 people that back the project and you can find out more information over at the link below.
